Brian Hoskin |
| Cornish artist Brian Hoskin grew up
working on his father's boats in the fishing village of Looe. After
studying at Falmouth and Exeter, Brian graduated with a degree in
graphic design, moved to London and established himself as a successful
freelance illustrator. |
Now back in Cornwall, and living in
the picturesque riverside village of St. Germans he divides his time
between commercial illustration work and his own contemporary art
and limited edition prints. He is currently undertaking a series of
paintings featuring the harbours and ports in his local area which
will also be available as signed limited edition giclee prints. |
With more than 15 years experience
in illustration he has produced work for a wide variety of uses including
childrens books, greetings cards, puzzles, maps and packaging and
clients have included the BBC, Hallmark, Royles and Ladybird Books. |
Brian enjoys the creative opportunities afforded by digital image manipulation and and is keen to experiment further in this area to produce exciting and original art and greetings cards. When not in the studio Brian finds new inspiration surfing, rowing, and walking the many miles of coastal footpath around Cornwall. |
