Gillian Jansen
Working in acrylic, watercolour, ink and pastel, Gillian's favourite subjects are seascapes, woodlands and the wild rugged landscape of Cornwall, all to be found in close proximity to where she lives and works in Falmouth.

Although having had little formal training, Gillian has always loved painting and drawing and her paintings have been well received since she gave up teaching in 2000 and moved to Cornwall, a place that has always been very special to her since she was a child, staying with her grandparents who lived on the north coast.

Gillian strives to convey a sense of place in her paintings, to capture the atmosphere of dramatic scenery which is a constant source of inspiration.
