Title:	Pod Picture
	Central to all Katrina’s work is her love for the natural world and her despair over our treatment of it. Each piece is a little reminder of what we are loosing, what we discard, tread on and ignore. Pod picture is a perfect example of this. The theme is the things we literally tread under foot. In this case the pods that hold the acorns from which giant oak trees grow. Oaks which also harbour a huge amount of life. This is the life we often ignore.
