Ralph Curnow
Ralph Curnow is a marine artist based in Penzance. Working mainly in oils on canvas, Ralph specialises in seascapes and images of ships. His interest in the sea stems from his time on the Penlee Lifeboat. During his first solo exhibition (in Newlyn) half the exhibited paintings were sold on the opening night.

Nick Praed

Maritime artist Nick Praed was born in the fishing village of Newlyn in 1974. When he was 18yrs old he started netting whilst painting in his spare time. Nick bought an ex-Irish fishing trawler in 2006 which he has been renovating as a houseboat/studio. He now works as a skipper on a survey vessel. Click here for more.
