Simon Birtall is a freelance artist and illustrator. Simon lived in Cornwall for 12 years before returning to north west England, from where he originates.

Simon paints in an 'Impressionistic' painting technique in oils on canvas. Influences include several Impressionists and Post Impressionists, and subsequent artists such as Sargent and Brangwyn.

Simon has held 2 solo exhibitions and sells his landscape paintings in selected galleries and via his website birtall.co.uk.

Trained as an illustrator, Simon has received commissions for illustration work from clients including NatWest Bank, BBC Worldwide, Random House, Hallmark and Carlton Cards.
